Event description

Living Library: Yahya Alzandani – A Journey of Resilience and Hope

As part of Pride Wellbeing Week 2024, we invite you to a powerful and enlightening Living Library session at Busselton Library on Tuesday, 5th November, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Join us in welcoming Yahya Alzandani, a courageous young trans man from Yemen. Yahya’s story is one of resilience and survival; after facing an attempted honour killing by his own family, he was able to escape with the help of the Busselton Pride Alliance. Arriving in Busselton just before Christmas last year on a humanitarian visa, Yahya now calls Perth home.

In this intimate session, Yahya will share his incredible journey, the challenges he faced, and his hopes for the future. Discover how we can come together as a community to support individuals like Yahya and help foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Wine and nibbles will be provided. Bookings are essential, so please secure your spot early.
