Yami Lester Memorial Address
Event description
This is AN annual recurring event to remember the terrible impacts of the British nuclear testing that took place between 1952 and 1963 in Maralinga and Emu Field (South Australia). The event is also an occasion to reflect on the opportunities offered to all Australians to create a future free of nuclear threat.
This year Yankunytjatjara/Pitjantjatjara Second Generation Nuclear Survivor, Karina Lester (daughter of the late Yami Lester) will be providing the Yami Lester Memorial Address.
Tickets are $25 per person (discounted to $20 for Students/Concession holders) which includes a light dinner and tea/coffee. Bookings essential.
You can also find the event on the Alice Springs Peace Action Think Tank (ASPATT) facebook page.
