Yarpa hub has partnered with the NSW Government as part of the Closing the Gap agreement to implement The Deliver Better Outcomes project.
What is the projects purpose
This project aims to increase the number of Aboriginal businesses providing goods and services to a metro LGA. This will be achieved through transformation of the current LGA Aboriginal procurement practices, whilst strengthening the capability, capacity and competitiveness of Aboriginal businesses that operate within the LGA. The project will result in a partnership being formed between Yarpa and a LGA from one of the selected areas, and a model, framework, and evaluation that can be used in the design of effective place-based approaches to develop and grow Aboriginal businesses through local government procurement for use across NSW.
Yarning Session
Aboriginal Businesses have an opportunity to hear about the project, and listen to Aboriginal businesses as part of the research phase to gain insight into the current practices of the LGA Indigenous procurement strategies and future aspirations.
