Yarra Junction Open Day – 22 Nov 2026
Description
Join us for YJ Open Day on Sunday 22 November.
Located just an hour from Melbourne’s CBD, our Yarra Junction Campus – affectionately known as ‘YJ’ – is home to Caulfield Grammar School’s unique Education Outdoors program. Since 1947, generations of students have challenged themselves at YJ, gaining independence, making memories and strengthening friendships.
The YJ Open Day is a fantastic opportunity for our whole Caulfield Grammar School community to come together to experience what makes YJ such a special place. There will be activities for the whole family and plenty of food and drink to enjoy:
Adventure and challenge – test your skills on our High Ropes Course.
Sustainability in action – explore our orchard, discover sustainable food production and plant seedlings.
Hands-on experiences – enjoy face painting, tree planting, clapstick making and other family activities.
Life on the farm – meet our cows and chat with Julian, our Farm Manager, about YJ’s commercial dairy.
Culture and connection – experience local culture with Indigenous educator Ian Hunter.
A taste of YJ – enjoy local produce, including Millgrove Dairy cheese made from milk produced by our own dairy cows, alongside our YJ beef stall (available until sold out).
Music and community – listen to student musicians, enjoy a coffee from the coffee cart or grab a sausage from our Parents and Friends Association barbecue.
