    YDAS Together: Access & Inclusion Training - Monday November 13th (9am – 1pm)

    Do you live in Victoria and work with young people, or are you studying to one day work with young people? Then this free training is for you! Together will teach you how to better include disabled young people in your service or your work. We've made this Together open to workers or students who aren't likley to get this training through their work or organisation. Together Training is provided by Youth Disability Advocacy Service (YDAS), a core agency of Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic).

    Please Note: Tickets will close 4 working days before the session, to ensure we can arrange access needs.

    What does the training cover?

    Attending YDAS’s Together Training, you will learn how to:

    •  navitgate the impacts of assumptions,
    •      ask questions to disabled young people,
    •      understand disability and society,
    •      use language about disability,
    •      plan, deliver & review accessible & inclusive work,
    •      create access tools incl. Statements of Commitment, Access Keys & Social Scripts!

    Why should I attend?

    Immediately after completing Together Training, participants report:

    •   a 19% increase in confidence planning accessible & inclusive programs,
    •   an 18.5% increase in understanding how to address barriers disabled young people face, and,
    •   a 21.5% increase in knowledge about finding resources to make your work accessible.
