Join our targeted workshop designed to help you achieve your personal best in English

3-session course to cover Year 10 English for Rose Bay Secondary School students.  These sessions are online and live with Liz to inspire students to master the TED Talk Presentation task for the Term 4 assessment.

Online Sessions on 3 days - 1.5 hours per day 

Tuesday 11th November 7pm - 8.30pm

Sunday 16th November 4pm - 5.30pm

Tuesday 18th November 7pm - 8.30pm

In these practical and interactive sessions, you will:
✅ Unpack the Marking Criteria – understand exactly what teachers are looking for and how to meet the top bands.
✅ Master the Four Steps to Success – learn how to identify topic, task, and focus words, and formulate and deliver a powerful thesis.
✅ Develop Rhetorical Power – explore and apply persuasive and rhetorical devices to make your delivery engaging and memorable.
✅ Receive Extensive Feedback – refine your ideas and presentation skills through tailored guidance and peer review.

Together, we’ll workshop ideas, refine your thesis, and strengthen your voice so your talk doesn’t just meet the criteria — it leaves your audience seeing the world in a new light.

ABOUT Liz

An outstanding, sought after English Teacher with decades of experience. 

For almost thirty years, Liz has taught all levels of English, including Senior Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, and Extension 2. She is a highly experienced HSC marker for all levels of English. Many of her students have achieved exceptional results, such as being published in the Extension Two English Young Writers’ Showcase and being named on the HSC Top Achievers List.

Throughout her three-decade career, she has held a variety of leadership roles in independent schools, including Deputy Principal, Teaching & Learning at Brigidine College, St. Ives; Director of Professional Practice at Moriah College; and Acting Assistant Principal and Head of English at Chevalier College.

She is deeply committed to the well-being of her students and always adopts a strengths-based approach to help them become more determined, confident, and autonomous learners. Liz is proficient in tracking students' progress, particularly against self-referenced, Personal Best goals.

She believes that learning should be a dynamic, artistic, intuitive, and cognitive activity, not merely a mechanical process. As such, she is dedicated to helping all individuals reach their full potential and maintain an optimistic attitude toward life and learning.
