Year 12 Music Performance - Timbreland
Event description
The Year 12 Music class are very excited to be presenting their IA1 performance project live. This original musical is called "Timbreland" and is a fantasy world adventure.
In the performance, the land is divided into four distinct regions – each locked in a permanent enmity and distrust. The cultures, economies, and magics of each region are shaped by their genres and eternal spring, summer and autumn. However, for many years, winter has been lost and the seasons are now, dangerously out of balance.
Summer’s heat has scorched all to dry and barren earth.
Spring’s abundance of flowers has led to extreme hay fever and a plague of flying insects.
Autumn’s constant twilight means they people have vitamin D deficiency and depression.
How can the realm of four families work to balance the seasons and save the land.
The students are performing for the Primary and Secondary schools with a public performance on Friday 7 March at 6:00pm in the Paperbark Theatre.
Everyone is welcome, seats are unallocated and tickets are free, but you do need to register your attendance to ensure seating is available.
