Year 7 2025 Meet The Teacher + Cocktail Evening

We invite you to join us for the Year 7 2025 Meet the Teacher and Cocktail Evening on Tuesday 25 February 2025. This is a chance for parents and caregivers to meet with staff who are teaching and supporting Year 7 this year. It is also an opportunity to meet our Head of Secondary School, Mr Paul Rikmanis, Director of Teaching and Learning, Mr Daniel Kelly, and the Year 7 Patron, Mr Will Twigg.

Parents are asked to meet in The Iona Performing Arts Theatre for a brief introduction and welcome. Parents will then break into Year 7 class groups for introductions of teaching staff. Please check with your child which class group they are in so we can allocate you to the correct group.

Following this, there will be finger food and drinks served from 6.00pm in the Performing Arts Centre courtyard and foyer, allowing parents an opportunity to mingle with staff and other parents on an informal basis.

The format of the evening will be as follows:

• 5.00pm – Brief introduction and welcome in the Iona Performing Arts Theatre.
• 5.20pm – Parents to break into Year 7 class groups for introductions of class teachers and an overview of the year.
• 6.00pm – Cocktail function and informal time with staff and other parents in the Performing Arts Centre courtyard and foyer.

The evening is for parents and caregivers only and there will be no supervision for students at this event. Please confirm your attendance via the RSVP link below.
