Event description

Year 7 and 8 parents/guardians are invited to a three-session positive parenting course, presented by Miss Laura Colston, TC Psychologist (Years 8, 10 and 12).

Your son is almost an adult, or at least that’s what he thinks! So, life at home could be a little strained. Maybe your son grunts instead of speaking to you, or wants to go to parties with people you don’t even know. It’s not that you’ve got a 'wild' child; you’d just like to make sure things don’t get out of hand.

The Teen Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) series recognises all parents have different needs, and will provide you with many different ways to get parenting help.

There are three seminars in the Teen Triple P series, each lasting 90 minutes. It is recommended you attend all three sessions to get the most out of the series (but we understand if you are unable to commit to all three evenings). The sessions will target everyday concerns, such as how to encourage responsible behaviour, improve family relationships, deal with independence or manage problems at school or with friends.

If you are unable to attend these sessions, the course will be offered again in future.
