Event description

Yellow Lamp Poetry returns with its first show of 2025 with an explosive lineup of poets. Vol. 06 welcomes Eric Soakai, Jessie Fenton, Leva Kusari and Weichu Huang to the stage! We also begin the night with an open mic, so bring some of your poems and let us all hear it. Come and help us ring in the new year with what promises to be an incredible night of spoken word. We will see you under the glow.

Ash Raymond James is a poet, performer, and essayist. He has been published in numerous publications and won poetry slams across the globe; he uses his words to push boundaries and challenge what poetry can be. When not captivating audiences with his performances, Ash coaches aspiring poets, helping them find their voice on both the page and the stage. He has a podcast that doubles as a digital workshop and writes a weekly newsletter he shares with his large social media following. He has won contests with Button Poetry and continues to find new ways to advance his voice. His latest poetry collection, ‘We Are All Dead,’ is out now.
