Yemaya New Moon Blessing Ceremony

This annual beach side rite is held in honour of Yemaya Day: She is celebrated on February 2 in Australia. We will gather at the shores of the ocean to honor this powerful goddess. Offer of fruits, flowers, and other objects associated with Yemaya to the water, seeking her blessings and protection for the upcoming year.
Yemaya Blessing of the Waters will be taking place on Sunday 2nd February 2025.
We meet at the on the beach foreshore. In front of the car park at end of street. At 6.00pm look for the blue cloth and offerings. In honour of Yemaya, the Queen of the Rivers, Seas and Oceans.
The rite will commence 6:15 pm sharp where we ask for Yemaya’s blessings of all the world’s waterways, sea creatures, and all other beings that fall under Her protection including women and children.
Please bring an ecologically friendly offering to Yemaya (ie, flower, sea shell crystal, stone, fruits: Offer fruits like watermelon, grapes, or oranges symbolizing fertility and abundance etc) that will be thrown into the ocean.
The offering will be an exchange for a wish to be granted by Yemaya.
Yemaya is a fertility goddess, overseas motherhood, pregnancy, health protection of women and children.
The wearing of white clothing or blue
Cost: $5 towards charity donation under 16 free
Children are welcome however they are the sole responsibility of their parents/guardians and need to show respect to other attendees.
