Event description

The Youth Educating Peers (YEP) Project, operating under the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) are traveling to Geraldton to provide a series of free sexual health harm reduction workshops for the youth sector.

YEP is a peer based youth sexual health education project that provides young people and the youth sector with sexual health education.

This workshop shall cover Online Dating, Safer Sexting and Pornography.

This workshop shall provide participants with skills and knowledge and increase their capacity to engage young people on these important topics. Participants will be provided with a range of intervention strategies, activities and resources that they can use directly with their clients. Examples include information on sexting and the law, emerging research on youth online sexual behaviours and harm minimisation approaches for sexting, pornography and online dating.

This session is suitable for all people working professionally or voluntarily with young people aged 12-25, particularly youth workers.

A light morning tea will be provided.
