YERP and Code Upgrade Consultation: Young Youth Workers

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

What to expect

YACVic are currently undergoing the process to upgrade two of our key sector-leading resources: Youth Engagement Resource Platform (YERP) and the Code of Ethical Practice for the Victoria Youth Sector (the Code). These resources aim to ensure that young people and the youth sector can work together in a safe and effective way.

If you work with young people in any capacity and you have experience in youth participation and ethical practice, we want to hear your insights, experiences and ideas.

You don't need to have prior knowledge of YERP or the Code, just have an interest in youth participation and the youth sector!

This interactive session will use the platform Miro to allow you to participate in a range of different activities. Along with your ticket you will be sent instructions on how to use Miro, please create an account on Miro prior to the session.

If you cannot make the session but would like to be involved please complete the survey for workers.

We will cover topics such as:

  • Online youth work
  • Safety, Cultural Safety & Intersectionality
  • Lived experience & Peer work

We will cover other topics relevant to the sector and your work with young people.
