Relax & Recharge: Yin, Pins & Sound Bath Yoga Workshop

We are so excited for this one :). Join Amber- Yoga teacher & Sound Bath Facilitator & Amy Rhodes- Chinese Medicine Doctor and Acupuncturist for over 15 years for a rejuvenating 2-hour workshop that harmoniously blends the restorative practices of Yin yoga, the gentle healing of acupuncture, and the soothing effects of a sound bath. This unique experience is designed to help you unwind, reconnect with your body, and find inner peace.

What to Expect:

Yin Yoga: Immerse yourself in the calming world of Yin yoga, where you'll hold gentle poses for extended periods, promoting deep relaxation and softening & healing the connective tissue, joints & Fascia. This meditative practice allows for introspection and releases tension stored in the body.

Acupuncture: Discover the healing power of acupuncture—a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the body to promote balance and wellness. For this workshop, we will utilize press-on/press-tack acupuncture needles, which are small, adhesive, and non-intrusive. These needles apply gentle pressure to the skin's surface, stimulating energy flow without the need for deeper insertion. Perfect for those new to acupuncture or looking for a subtle yet effective experience!

Sound Bath: Complete your journey with a serene sound bath, where you’ll be enveloped in soothing sounds from crystal singing bowls, Harmonium, Guitar, vocals and other instruments. This immersive auditory experience helps to calm the mind and facilitate deeper relaxation.

In this session we will be working with the natural seasons and cycles- We will be balancing the Wood element ( Liver and Gallbladder Meridians) related to the season on Spring time. This is a time when the energy is rising upwards. Through Yin yoga and acupuncture, we can help restore balance to the wood element. Yin poses target the liver and gallbladder meridians, promoting the flow of qi (energy) and releasing stored tension. Acupuncture works to harmonize the energy in these meridians, alleviating emotional blockages and physical discomfort. Together, these practices create a nurturing environment for renewal and emotional stability.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the wood element is associated with the liver and gallbladder meridians. This element represents growth, creativity, and renewal. When in balance, it fosters clarity and a sense of direction; when out of balance, it can lead to feelings of frustration, irritability, and physical tension.
