ABOUT YLS

Run by young people, for young people, YLS (Young Leaders Summit) Rockhampton Presented by the Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) is a one-day, interactive summit designed to inspire and empower a generation of brave, creative and entrepreneurial young leaders.

YLS is a vibrant, leadership-centric summit that aims to cultivate a cadre of insightful, resilient and innovative young leaders. The summit is not just about leadership; it's a comprehensive journey through various facets of personal and professional development, including advanced communication strategies, the art of negotiation, conflict resolution, and the building blocks of effective teamwork. YLS stands out by not only focusing on the theoretical aspects of leadership but also emphasising practical, real-world applications.

YLS is designed for secondary students in Grade 7 to 12.
