YMS 2027 Auditions

The Young Mannheim Symphonists is Australia’s only national Historically Informed Performance (HIP) youth orchestra. Presented by the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, this unique and inspiring program gives secondary and tertiary students, along with emerging musicians, the chance to experience the transformative power of HIP.

• Young Mannheim Symphonists 2027 National Academy
  30 March - 4 April | Brisbane

• Young Mannheim Symphonists 2027 VIC State Academy
  6-10 July | Melbourne

Instrumentalists aged 13-23 from all Australian states and territories are invited to audition for the National Academy and/or a State Academy of their choice. Musicians from New Zealand are also eligible to apply for the National Academy.

Applications and auditions are due 11:55pm AEST Sunday 25 October.

There are four steps:

1. Complete the application form.

2. Pay your audition fee here to receive the audition upload link.

3. Download your audition requirements.

4. Upload your video audition by Sunday 25 October.
