Yoga and Ayurveda for Depression, Fatigue and Burn Out
Event description
Immerse in the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda to return to a state of balance and equip yourself with tools to manage the effects of stress and anxiety, naturally.
During the 2.5 hour workshop you can expect:
Learn all about the energies that affect our mental health, which are the three Gunas.
We will focus on Tamas Guna, which is associated with depression fatigue and burn out.
Undertake Yoga practices that target the following:
Upward flowing energy of prana Vayu, which enables more life force to overcome Tamas Guna.
Fire and Air elemental energies to enable courage, determination and momentum needed in order to create change in overcoming Tamas Guna.
Practices will be considerate of the fact that it can be hard to get your engine started when with depression fatigue and burnout.
I will teach you simple practices that you can then do at home in bed, couch or chair to get you going when you least feel like (if needed).
Undertake the following Ayurvedic Practices:
Sample and learn all about Ayurvedic herbs (and foods) that help to overcome Tamas Guna.
In session, we'll sample a cacao with such herbs (or alternative offered if you need).
Abhyanga (warm oil self massage) of upper limbs, chest and shoulders to support access to Prana Vayu.
Create a realistic Dinacharya (morning and evening habits) that supports overcoming Tamas Guna.
Journalling and reflection time to create your own Mental Health Tool Kit within your take-home activity book.
Small group of 7 people only.
Trauma aware facilitation
