Yoga Flow at The Courts
Description
This week's session will be held at The Courts - Creative Youth Network. Formerly an abandoned Old Magistrate's Court, the space has been repurposed into a vibrant, creative hub with heritage features. Built in 1879, the Grade II listed building, formerly central to city life and order, is a unique place to come and find presence whilst acknowledging the past.
Getting There...
Entrance to The Courts can be found on Bridewell Street, in the city centre. It is findable on what3words as: ///stop.deck.leads.
In the event that the doors to The Courts are not open, please ring the buzzer to be let in. Upon entering, you will find a large communal space where a member of the BID team will greet you and show you to Courtroom 4, where we will take our practice.
Please bring your own yoga mat.
The Teacher...
The refreshing midday class will be led by Anna, a Vinyasa flow practitioner who will guide you through energising flows and strengthening salutations to revive your spirits and recirculate your energy. Return to work feeling invigorated and recharged for the rest of the day, having recentred yourself with a stimulating but mindful practice.
She looks to create a friendly, supportive space for people to move, breathe and connect to themselves. Taking inspiration from the different styles she's trained in, her classes are a blend of strength, challenge and playfulness as well as pause, rest and enquiry. With a strong focus on the breath, they are intentionally sequenced whilst offering freedom for you to explore in your own way. Instagram page: @annahaskellthomas
