Yoga for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour)
Event description
Join us as we amplify the voice of decolonised yoga while being held in safe community.
A 60 minute practice starting with breathwork before moving into a heating vinyasa flow before we bring our practice down closer to the earth for contemplation and release, completing our practice with deep rest in savasana.
Classes will be themed in keeping with the collective lived experience of living in a BIPOC body. Allow yourself to receive community and an antidote to the often whitewashed yoga industry we find ourselves surrounded by. Notice how your nervous system responds as you drop in to the sanctity and shared wisdom of a space co-created by people of colour.
Must be 18 years or older to attend. All genders welcome. Complete beginners and experienced practitioners welcome. Wear anything you’re comfortable in.
Bookings essential. Group bookings are welcome, but please make sure you each have a good look at the terms/agreements. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in. Venue has staircase entry.
