Yoga for Good Community Class with Moira Gordon
Event description
Dru Yoga Water Sequence Class
To promote a sense of fluidity and openness, allowing ideas to flow freely. This water sequence stimulates creativity and encourages focus, inner awareness, and a feeling of flow. It activates the sacral center, 'Swadhistana Chakra,' where the element of water resides.
Dru is derived from 'Druva,' a Sanskrit word meaning unshakeable, immovable, and eternal; it is a still point, like the North Star. Dru's accessible approach to yoga practice energizes the nervous system, joints, and muscles, releasing tension and gently increasing energy.
Moira is one of the founders of Yoga For Good and manages the Foundation’s Grant Scheme and Brand. She is a lifelong practitioner of Yoga and Meditation in many styles. After earning teaching Diplomas in Hatha Sarasvati Yoga and Satyananda Yoga, she also recently obtained certifications in Breathwork, and Mental Health.
Currently teaching Hatha and Dru yoga classes locally, she also holds Yoga and Art workshops for dharma and trauma recovery. Art supplies, combined with asana, chanting, breathwork, and meditation, form a potent practice. The Water Sequence opened the 2025 YFG Retreat, preparing hearts and minds for an exploration of sacred geometry.
