Yoga for Humanity” Workshop to support @globalempowermentmission Aid Organisation.

I’m excited to share myself, Maya @yogi.maya and Pru are holding a workshop to support all human beings suffering on this planet right now, with all proceeds going to the @globalempowermentmission, a not for profit aid organisation that is close to my heart.

I’ve been following GEM and interacting with their founder @michaelcapponi for over a year now and they are amazing. They provide aid all over the world to any community that is suffering whether they be from war or a natural disaster indiscriminately, with respect, compassion, dignity and they bring joy and love wherever they go.

What I love about them is how they work smart to utilise their donations so they go as far as possible to help the people in need. They also provide roles for people in these communities to help distribute aid so they feel empowered to not just be receiving, but be giving back to their own community. That’s super powerful in itself.

They are right now providing aid in many places including the Ukraine, Gaza, Texas, Pakistan and what I also love is they not only provide aid when the disaster is happening, they stay on to help rebuild communities.

They survive on donations and last week with all the noise in the world they only received donations from 150 people. I wanted to do something to help them receive more donations and also let more people know about the incredible work they do, so this workshop was born.

This workshop will be in person and online and it will be beautiful. There will be Kundalini Yoga, breath work, mantra, two beautiful meditations for healing and connection and a long luxurious soundbath with 2-3 gongs, singing bowls and other magical instruments.

We will be holding the workshop at 1.00pm on Saturday, 6 September at The Bay Room, Double Bay and online.
