Location: City Wollongong Surf Life Saving Club
Date & Time: July 11th - 6pm Start
Join us for a unique session that blends movement, breathwork, and cold exposure to build awareness and mental resilience.
This Mens only session is lead with intention and rooted in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) principles, The BODY Protocol stands for:
Be present. Open up. Do what matters. Yoga.
This class is designed to help you connect to your body, explore discomfort with curiosity, and strengthen your ability to stay grounded—even in challenge.
We’ll flow through a structured yoga sequence focused on breath and movement, before transitioning directly into the ice bath while the body is still warm. Optional mindset drills will be shared to help you stay focused and calm in the cold.
This session is for anyone ready to train not just their body—but their awareness.
What to bring:
Towel
Swimwear
Water bottle
Yoga mat (if you have one – limited mats/blocks available on-site)
Note: No experience with yoga or ice baths required—just a willingness to show up.
Andrew is a qualified yoga teacher (200hr) trained in trauma-aware practices, with several years of experience. After over a decade in the Australian Special Forces, he is now a provisionally registered psychologist and PhD candidate at the University of Wollongong, exploring the intersection of men’s mental health, veteran adaptation post-service, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
