Yoga of the Voice
Event description
Yoga of the Voice is a two-hour workshop run by Satyamo Roberts and Jera Conan.
We will ground and relax our bodies with some gentle yogic stretches and breathing practices. This will prepare us for the present-moment physical experiences of singing.
We will explore the 'anatomy of the voice' then have fun with vocal exercises and warm-ups, using some contemporary approaches to voice-work drawn from Music Therapy,
The songs we will share are simple and beautiful, with uplifting messages, usually in English language. The addition of group harmonies to the singing brings an extra dimension of meaning and vibrational experience. We will create the inner vibration of our own natural voice, and will be gently 'bathed' in the healing vibrational ambience of the group harmonies.
The workshop will conclude with a guided relaxation; Music and Imagery.
Singing in a group is always a heart-opening experience. When we sing we become more joyful... I look forward to sharing this uplifting morning with you .... Satyamo x
