Yorga Manjar Waangk: Women Gather Speak

Join us for an evening with Aboriginal women as they yarn about the power and process of women gathering and telling stories through community-led conversations and collaboration.

The authors and editor will share their journeys to publication and read from their new books, including short memoirs from the women's anthology, 'Worlds Within a World', and poetry in 'Song of the Shadow of a Seed', published by Fremantle Press in 2026. Books will be sold by New Edition Bookseller.

Featuring Ballardong Noongar editor Casey Mulder, Nyungar poet and arts worker Luisa Mitchell and other yorgas (women) from Worlds Within a World.

This event is presented by the artists in association with Totally Lit and the Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
