Event description

Are you a parent or carer of a child aged 2 - 4 years and would like to learn more about how to support your child's development through everyday moments?

You with Me is a free 5 session play based program for parents and carers to attend with their 2 - 4 year old child. Sessions are delivered every week by Wanslea's allied health professionals and early childhood teachers. You with Me helps parents and carers to:

  • Learn easy activities that can be replicated at home that support children's learning and development.
  • Learn tips from Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Early Childhood Teachers that will enrich how parents move, connect, and play with your child.
  • Discover different ideas and activities using everyday items at home that encourage connection, curiosity, and play.

Sessions are interactive and hands-on with opportunities for parents and carers to use new skills in the sessions and at home. Weekly sessions cover the below topics:

  • ‘Move with Me’ - Fun music and movement activities to help little bodies to grow strong.
  • ‘Be with Me’ - Learn games and activities that help encourage communication skills and understanding emotions.
  • ‘Play with Me’ - Fun ideas to encourage play skills, using everyday objects around the house.
  • ‘Feel with Me’ - Get hands messy to experiment with different textures and sensations.
  • ‘Taste with Me' - Explore and play with healthy foods, make a fun snack, and try new flavours and textures together.

Sessions are held every Friday from 10.30 - 11.30 am at ISHAR Multicultural Women's Health Centre on:
