Kids Camp Week 2: Clay Creations (AM) or Jungle Art (PM) - June 2-6

Bee Cave Arts Foundation is excited to host a fun-filled SUMMER ART CAMP for artists who have completed Kinder to entering 5th grade! Choose morning OR afternoon camp (or both if your artist would like a full day of art fun).  Morning Camp is 9am-12noon, Afternoon Camp is 12:30pm-3:30pm.  Students attending both morning and afternoon camps must bring their own lunch for the 30min supervised break between classes.

Week 2 Morning Camp: Clay Creations
Unleash creativity in the exciting world of ceramics! In this hands-on class young artists will explore sculpting with clay. From fantasy animal figurines to personalized mugs, children will learn fundamental techniques like pinch, coil, and slab construction. Each project fosters self-expression and teamwork, helping students develop both artistic skills and a love for creating with clay. Perfect for budding artists ready to craft imaginative, functional, and whimsical pieces!  Camp fees includes all materials AND firing fee!

Week 2 Afternoon Camp: Jungle Art Adventure
Embark on a creative adventure through the animal kingdom! Explore the African Savanna, Pop Art animals, Rousseau’s jungle, and more as you discover exciting new art techniques. From chalk pastels and clay to printmaking and mixed media, each session combines hands-on fun with fascinating animal facts to inspire young artists. Join us for an unforgettable adventure into the heart of the jungle!

Give your child the opportunity to immerse themselves in artistic activities that will spark their imagination, self-expression, and confidence. We offer a safe supportive environment for children to explore, learn and grow while having fun and enjoying the process of creating art. Projects can include painting, drawing, sculpting, printmaking, working with clay, and/or mixed media activities. All artistic creations will be presented at our Friday Art Exhibition for family and friends.  Pick your favorite week and its theme and reserve your spot today!

Open to students who have completed Kinder through entering into 5th grade! Projects will be adapted to challenge and inspire all levels.

Please send a healthy snack(s) and water bottle (please label with their name!) and a lunch for all-day campers. Please dress for mess (some paints can stain!).

Cartooning: (weeks 3 & 7 afternoons)
Join us for a fun-filled cartooning adventure where you will learn the basics of drawing characters, creating exciting settings, and using panels and word balloons to tell your own story! By the end of the class, you will have your very own comic book, featuring your unique characters and stories. Plus, we will combine everyone’s work into a class comic to share, sign, and color on the final day! Perfect for young artists ready to bring their imagination to life.

Clay Creations: (weeks 2 & 3 mornings)

Creature Creators:  (week 6 afternoon)
In this imaginative camp, kids will bring their wildest, most mythical creatures to life through a variety of fun, hands-on art projects. From sculpting quirky monsters with clay and fabric to creating glowing underwater creatures, campers will explore their creativity in new and exciting ways. They will design fantasy creature collages, craft unique creature pendants, and even build habitat dioramas for their fantastical beings. Whether creating masks or painting portraits, this camp sparks imagination and encourages self-expression while diving into the magical world of mythical creatures!

Fairy Tales & Fantasy:  (week 10 morning)

Step into a world of enchantment! Kids will embark on a magical adventure as they create stunning art projects inspired by beloved stories and mythical creatures. From crafting shimmering dragon eggs and colorful mermaid tails to designing forest creature masks and enchanted garden mosaics, campers will explore their imagination and bring fantasy to life. This whimsical camp encourages kids to experience the magic of fairy tales and mythical beings!

Jungle Art Adventure:  (week 2 afternoon)

Magical World of the Circus Big Top:  (week 4 morning)

Step right up for a whirlwind of fun and whimsy as kids explore the exciting world of the circus through art! This class offers a range of imaginative projects inspired by circus performers, animals, and the vibrant big top. From designing colorful circus tents and creating playful clown faces to crafting animal puppets and building clay sculptures, children will dive into a world full of creativity and fun, allowing kids to express their imagination while experiencing the magic of the circus.

Mermaids and Sea Monsters:  (week 10 afternoon)
Set sail on a week of artistic adventure. Young artists will dive into the wonders of the ocean as they create underwater sculptures, stunning 3-D paintings, and unique ocean-themed wall hangings. Campers will also explore mixed media watercolors and bring the sea to life on textured canvases. Each project inspires creativity, builds new artistic skills, and celebrates the magic and the mysteries of the deep ocean!

Monsters, Dragons, Fairies, and Elves:  (week 9 afternoon)

Step into a world of imagination and creativity! Perfect for young adventurers, this magical camp invites kids to create enchanting elves and fairy homes, design clay masks inspired by mythical creatures, and experiment with the vibrant batik technique. Nature Art:  (week 8 morning)

Painting: (week 6 morning)

Sculpture: 3D Fun (week 9 morning)

In this fun-filled camp, kids will explore a variety of materials—clay, recycled objects, wire, paper mâché, and more—while learning different sculpting techniques. Space Art: (week 4 afternoon)

Superhero Academy: (week 8 afternoon)

Underwater Kingdom: (week 7 morning)
