Event description

Are you passionate about youth mental health?

Over 30% of 8,000 young people aged 13- 18 years who took part in the Growing up in Queensland survey told us mental health was a big concern.

The Amplify - Young Minds Can’t Wait hackathon has been designed by youth for youth and is focussed on addressing young people’s concerns around youth mental health through an action-packed day of workshops, ideation and development.

The Queensland Family & Child Commission have partnered with BOP Industries to deliver this program, creating youth actions to respond to the call for change.

The day will begin with introductions from the Principal CommissionerCEO of YourTown and QFCC Youth Champions to get participants familiar with what young Queenslanders are currently experiencing.  Participants will then dive into ideation, user personas, prototyping, marketing and pitching. By the end of the day your idea will be ready to launch and create impact across Queensland!
