Event description

Young Writers Workshop: Short Stories & How to Give Helpful Feedback

Calling all young storytellers!

Whether you’ve been writing for years or are just starting out, this workshop is designed to support and inspire young writers aged 13 - 18 years. We’ll explore what makes a great short story, take part in fun writing exercises, and learn how to give and receive helpful feedback on each other’s work.

We’ll also chat about the Craig Silvey Award and how it celebrates emerging writers—perfect motivation to polish your own story!

✍️ What to bring:

  • A notebook or laptop to write with

  • A short story (if you'd like feedback from the group)

Come along, connect with other creative young minds, and grow your writing skills in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

Free event – bookings essential!
