Lampshade Making Tutorial Online Open-date

In this online program I'll be teaching you how to make a modern, rolled-edge drum-shaped lampshade, from scratch through a carefully staged series of steps, using videos and comprehensive notes.

A drum shaped shade is the best starting point for beginners, however, if you wish to make a different shaped lampshade, the same skills as taught here apply - but will be easier (I believe) if you've learnt on a drum first.

This tutorial is packed with numerous tips and tricks learnt over the years as a professional shade-maker (and upholsterer) at my home-studio in Jamberoo on the south coast of NSW Australia.

You can view the course as a stand-alone learning exercise, or do it while you make a kit purchased from The Lampshade Workroom (offered at checkout) or materials purchased elsewhere.
