Your Rights, Your Support, your Service - Bunbury
Event description
About the Workshop:
Your Rights, Your Support, Your Services is a free, engaging, and accessible workshop designed for people with disability and the people who support them — including family, friends, carers, support workers, and community allies.
This workshop is all about building confidence, understanding your rights, and recognising what good, safe, and respectful support should look like. It’s a short session packed with important information, interactive activities, and a take-home toolkit to support your self-advocacy journey.
Together, we’ll explore:
What your rights are and why they matter
How to recognise safe and quality support
What dignity and respect look like in everyday life
How to spot abuse, exploitation, or violence — and what to do if something isn’t right
Key topics like restrictive practices, incident reporting, and how to navigate the NDIS Quality and Safeguards system
💬 We keep things simple, accessible, and people-focused — no complicated jargon here!
📘 You’ll also get access to our free online self-paced version to dive deeper into each topic at your own pace.
🧡 Whether you're attending for yourself or someone you support, you’ll leave with tools, knowledge, and the confidence to speak up — because it’s always okay to speak up.
