Event description

YOUR RIGHTS, YOUR VOICE, YOUR CHOICE is a two-day self- advocacy course for people with disabilities.

NOTE: This course has been rescheduled and is now on Friday 14 October and Monday 17 October 2022.

The aim is to develop the skills and confidence for people with disabilities to self-advocate. Co-designed by People with Disabilities WA (PWdWA) and delivered in partnership with the EMPOWER project

THE COURSE COVERS:

  • Understanding your rights
  • Learning key steps to becoming a successful self-advocate
  • Exploring ways to communicate assertively
  • Sharing and learning from real experiences

This course runs from 10am until 3pm:

  • Friday 14 October and Monday 17 October, West Leederville


The course is fully accessible and can be adapted to suit individual needs, so please let us know if there is anything which would make it easier for you to participate.
