Your Voice, Your Choice – Online & Free!
The Disability Trust are very excited to announce that we will be holding our third Your Voice, Your Choice Conference this year continuing to hold it online as a free event for attendees, making it accessible to everyone!
In 2019 we were extremely fortunate to invite Dylan Alcott to the Illawarra to attend as our Key Note Speaker and in 2020 we backed that up with the wonderful Moana and Vinny Hope. This year we are very proud to announce that our Key Note Speaker will be the inspiring Nas Campanella, Disability Affairs Reporter for the ABC. Nas started her career at the ABC as a cadet journalist in 2011 in Sydney before working as a regional reporter in Bega. She then worked as a newsreader, reporter and senior producer for Triple J for many years and has undertaken projects with ABC International Development running initiatives for people living with disability across the Pacific.
We will also be catching up again with Martin Hoffman, Chief Executive Officer from the NDIA and Liz Callaghan, Chief Executive Officer of Carers Australia and we are excited to see how both organisations have fared over the last 12 months and what is in store for the future.
Again we will be holding our conference in line with National Carers Week on the 15th October to celebrate and recognise the tremendous work that unpaid carers do for our community and we look forward to coming together to learn and to speak with people living with disability, carers and experts working in the sector.
