    Event description

    PACE: Participate, Advocate, Communicate, Engage

Migrant and refugee women's leadership and participation in our community matters. Through their participation, advocacy, communication and engagement at home, work, in the community, and at all levels of the government, they play a role in improving community health and wellbeing.

Multicultural Centre for Women's Health would like to invite you to connect with other migrant and refugee women, including non-binary, trans, and gender-diverse people, to support each other’s initiatives and expand your networks. You will gain knowledge and skills in navigating local resources and opportunities, learn how to engage in local council decision-making processes, and receive the "Set the PACE" Leadership Best Practice Guide resource.

    What will you gain?

    • Join, connect with the PACE Network, and build a supportive network with like-minded migrant and refugee women.
    • Improve knowledge of available local resources, such as grants, community activities, services, awards, and organisations.
    • Improved skills how to utilise local resources effectively.
    • Improve confidence in engaging with local councils and advocating for issues that matter to you.

    Who should join?

    • Already part of the PACE Network.
    • Migrant and refugee women, including non-binary, trans, and gender-diverse people who want to improve knowledge in local activities and resources.
    • If you want to start your own initiatives and want to learn how to navigate local council resources.
    • If you are passionate about advocating for local issues.
    • If you want to build network and collaborate.

We look forward to having the exciting panel story sharing and networking event with you - with great discussions, networking and delicious food at Into coffee.
