Youth Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Training
Description
With youth related anti-social behaviour creating challenges for businesses across the city centre, knowing how to respond when situations become difficult can make a real difference.
Bristol BID is working with LPW Inspire to offer a practical 90 minute training session for businesses with customer facing staff, including retail and hospitality teams. The session will help staff better understand the challenges young people may be facing, feel more confident managing difficult situations and respond in ways that help prevent tensions from escalating.
Delivered by experienced LPW trainers and frontline youth workers working across Bristol, the session will cover how to:
· Recognise early signs of escalation and potential triggers
· Better understand youth related anti-social behaviour and what may be driving it
· Use practical communication and de-escalation techniques
· Build positive relationships and trust with young people
· Recognise how certain responses can unintentionally make situations worse
· Respond confidently while prioritising the safety of staff and customers
There will also be an opportunity to meet youth workers and learn more about their role in supporting Bristol’s young people, giving businesses a better understanding of the support available and the work taking place across the city.
The session will provide practical techniques and approaches that you and your team can use day to day, helping you feel more confident when responding to challenging situations.
