Youth Art Club
Event description
Come and join Chantalle Grummet and other experienced artists for a guided creative play session each week during the WA school term. Specifically for young artists between the ages of 11 and 18 this is a club and arty hang out space where they can unleash their creative ideas using the art community donated supplies in the Armadale Society of Artists' Arena Art House. Facilitated by an experienced art teacher and artists, Youth Art Club members will be guided towards achieving their artistic goals with tutorials, demonstrations and guidance.
This is not a structured project or specific lesson program but rather the club is focussed on letting young artists be free to follow their own artistic directions. Members come up with ideas and then the teachers will develop tutorials, demonstrations and provide some materials towards achieving their creative plans.
The club also works closely with the City of Armadale to participate in community events such as the Bush Art Trail (a local land art event), the Armadale Arts Festival and the Armadale Christmas Parade.
