Youth Development 101 - Workshop
🗓️ Date: Monday, 29 September 2025
⏰ Time: 10:00am-12:30pm
💻 Format: Live Online Workshop
🎟️ Price: $220 (GST incl.)
Whether you’re new to youth development or stepping into leadership, this practical 2.5-hour workshop will give you the tools and clarity you need to do the work well.
Delivered by Kate Munro (Luminosity Youth Development Solutions) and Sewa Emojong (E.S Emojong Consultancy), Youth Development 101 helps you move from overwhelm to orientation. We’ll unpack and demystify what it means to do effective youth development work that is strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally safe, inclusive and participatory — and how to do it in the messy, imperfect realities of real-world practice.
You’ll leave with:
Working knowledge about youth development concepts and principles
Tools and templates for immediate implementation
Guidance on navigating values in action, stakeholder tensions and ethical grey zones
Clarity on what good enough looks like when you're stretched thin
Confidence to move forward well — and integrate best practice to enhance outcomes for young people
👥 Who it’s for:
Early career youth/community workers
Local Government or NGO staff managing youth portfolios
Coordinators, engagement officers and program managers seeking practical frameworks and working collaboratively alongside young people
We’ve made this an online workshop to maximise accessibility to all those who would benefit without the extra travel expense. If this is something you would like to bring to your organisation in-house, please reach out, we would love to chat!
