Youth Entrepreneurship - Investing in Young Entrepreneurs
Event description
Whilst historically businesses have always opened their doors (and hearts) to invest in young people through work
experience, interneships and apprenticeships, they're now investing in young entrepreneurs.
When unemployment increases in the general population, youth unemployment grows faster than the national average.
This becomes a national waste of capability, energy and talent when the nation needs these most. The Prime Minister
has stated that young people will be the major victims of this recession; ABS is predicting 17+% youth
unemployment.
The traditional pathways for many young people – school, university or trade and into
work – simply doesn’t occur anymore; highly qualified and experienced young people
often cannot secure employment.
NOW IS THE TIME TO INVEST IN THE
ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF YOUNG PEOPLE
What if, instead of hopelessness, young people have a reason to get out of bed every
day by creating their own business?
iGen Foundation Ltd believes there is a third ‘E’ to be added to the conventional formula
“Education, Employment, and Training”; this new 'E' is entrepreneurship - young people
being able to learn entrepreneurial skills and start their own businesses to employ
themselves and others.
We need your help to make entrepreneurship a legitimate pathway for young people
who want to enhance their skills in establishing their own businesses.
iGen FoundationLtd empowers young entrepreneurs to develop their own businesses
enabling their entrepreneurial mindsets, skills and capabilities.
Unemployment becomes a national waste of capability, energy and talent when the nation needs these most; entrepreneurship inspires the use of these capabilities, energy and talent.
The traditional pathways for many young people – school, university or trade and into work – simply doesn’t occur
anymore; highly qualified and experienced young people often cannot secure employment.
We invite you to sign up to this investment opportunity to support youth entrepreneurship. Investment of $2000 will provide a young person with entry to the Getting Down to Business initiative and you with an
invitation to join us for a 1.5 hour Zoom Strategy session where we'll introduce you to each other and provide you with an introduction to the Maths Tool - a really great way to prioritise your strategic
approach.
These young people will then join you and your Executive Team sharing their entrepreneurial capabilities and skills,
so the investment can be recorded as an investment in skilling your staff.
