Work Integrated Social Enterprises can benefit young people in many ways that go beyond just skills and employment, but we know that they can be challenged to find their feet, their start-up funding, and the financial model that will ensure future sustainability.

    In this webinar we will:

    • Report on learning about how diverse social enterprises benefit young people through skills, employment, and more
    • Hear some case studies about how three very different social enterprises engage young people for their employment journey, and how they are resourcing this
      • Choose Your Career Program: YMCA/Green Collect, a model linking a range of social enterprises to ensure choices of roles/industries for young people coming through
      • 2340 Barbershop in Tamworth: Joblink Plus, engaging young people through activities/skills relevant to their interests
      • Miyay Birray Youth Services gardening and maintenance social enterprise startup in Moree backed by social procurement contracts for work, building better futures for local young people and engaging the community through the board of this Aboriginal-controlled organisation
    • Learn about philanthropic funding support options
    • Share experience and gather feedback about the support and information needs of social enterprises getting started

Hosted by SECNA/The WISE Hub and the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation, with social enterprise funders
