  • A minimum upfront payment is required to secure your order. This includes a surcharge, a non-refundable cancellation fee, and a refundable deposit.

Event description

Learn how to assist adolescents who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of a mental health problem, or are in a mental health crisis. This training may count towards your CPD points and is perfect for educators, coaches, mentors, and anyone volunteering with or working with youth.

Guided home study, then 3 x group sessions with one of our experienced trainers.

At Anowara we practice what we teach and endeavor to make your training informative, confidence building, inclusive and of course stress-free.

Subjects Covered (Youth  MHFA)
Developing Mental Health Problems, Depression and Anxiety, Psychosis, Substance use Problems.

Mental Health Crisis, Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors, Non-Suicidal Self Injury, Panic Attacks, Traumatic Events, Severe Effects of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Severe Psychotic States, Aggressive Behaviors.

On completion you may choose to complete a quick online test to have your training accredited by MHFA Australia, this is both free and optional.

The home study takes on average 4 hours, the 3 online sessions are 2 hrs 30 mins each, however, allow 3 hours per session. All sessions must be completed to achieve certification.

Mental Health First Aid training discusses subjects that may be distressing for some participants, our facilitators are both trained and equipped with the necessary skills to assist any participants should any distress occur.
