This 14-hour Youth Mental Health First Aid course teaches any adult (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to adolescents experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
Over these two days you will learn about;
- Adolescent development
- Signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in young people
- Where and how to get help
- What sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and
- How to provide first aid in crisis situations
Participants will receive a Youth Mental Health First Aid manual and Certificate of Accreditation on successful completion of the course.
Details:
Saturday 24 May; 9am-5pm and Saturday 31 May; 9am-5pm.
When you purchase your ticket, this will cover you for both sessions. You need to attend BOTH dates to successfully complete this training course.
Venue
The Goods Shed is located in the Warragul Train Station carpark - head around to the right after entering the carpark and you will the building.
