YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID - this is the FULL Course - part eLearning part Instructor led over zoom

Developed for adults, to learn how to assist and support young people

WHAT THE COURSE COVERS

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an education course that teaches adults about adolescent development and the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health problems in young people, including crisis situations.

Topics covered include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders and suicidal thoughts and behaviours.

eLearning or prework of 5 to 7 hours is to be completed prior to the instructor training.

 
All three dates are 4th, 11th and 18th June from 1pm to 3.30 pm Sydney time
.  Three consequetive Wednesdays, all Wednesdays need to be completed for accreditation.

You will learn how and where to get help when a person is developing a mental illness, what help research has shown to be effective and how to provide first aid in crisis situations.
