YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (YMHFA) COURSE
Event description
Congratulations! You have been chosen to attend our first ever Please Stay Foundation (PSF) Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training course.
Our course is presented by a qualified facilitator and Mental Health First Aider with lived experience and a mother of 2.
Before launching to the general public, we're asking you to be our guinea-pigs so to speak!
We are therefore offering the course to you at half price $150 and tickets are tax deductible.
COURSE OUTLINE: The PSF YMHFA course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the concepts of mental health, recognise, respond to, and provide support to young people who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
Today’s youth face a range of pressures and challenges, including academic demands, social expectations, family dynamics, and exposure to trauma or adverse experiences. This course aims to empower participants to better understand these challenges and develop the confidence to provide meaningful support to young people in need. Our goal is to change the narrative and the outcomes of the current youth mental health crisis through education and community.
We look forward to seeing you on the day, please reach out with any questions prior to the event.
*Morning/afternoon tea and lunch will all be provided, please advise of any dietary requirements in advance.
