UN Youth Queensland is excited to announce the launch of the Youth Representative Report 2024!

This month, join the Queensland division for an engaging seminar featuring interactive activities and collaborative discussions, facilitated by UN Youth Australia’s Chief Youth Representation Officer and Australian Youth Delegate to the UN, Vasil Samardzhiev.

The Youth Representative Report 2024 is informed by UN Youth Australia's Listening Tour. As one of the largest ongoing youth consultations in the country, the Listening Tour continues to capture a diverse range of youth perspectives every year from across the country. This year's Report captures the perspectives of over 2000 young Australians who were consulted between February-September 2024.

This Launch Conversation will explore the concerns and aspirations of young Australians for their local communities, their country and the wider world. With your engagement, we will work towards understanding and amplifying youth voices, ensuring that what is being said is heard in discussions that shape our future. It's also an incredible opportunity to network and meet Queensland leaders and individuals passionate about youth perspectives.

This event will be held in-person on Level 7 of the Griffith University Webb Centre, South Brisbane, Queensland. Operating as a hub model, we will join the launch party online along with those interstate and overseas.

UN Youth Queensland is a division of the largest youth-for-youth volunteer organisation that aims to educate and empower young people in Australia on domestic and global issues. We know that young people from all backgrounds and lived experiences have the vision and passion to create meaningful change within their communities and throughout the world. Our programs, designed by young people for young people, aim to equip young people with the skills and inspiration to create impactful change wherever we need it.

We run a broad range of peer-education programs that give the participants we reach a deep understanding of the social and political issues the world faces today, and the skills and drive to solve them. Within Australia, we organise a National Youth Conference, Evatt (a national Model United Nations competition based on the Security Council), Voice (a national problem-solving and pitching competition), and a wide variety of state and territory events. Internationally, we coordinate educational tours of Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and the United States of America for secondary school students. View our programs on our website here..

Our programs are participated in by young people 12 to 18 (typically in high school), completely organised by 18 to 25-year-old young people across Australia.
