Event description

Please note, this workshop is specifically for poets under 25

This workshop is designed especially for poets under 25 who are looking to deepen their practice and sustain their creative spark over the long haul.

Led by poet, writer, lawyer and Bankstown Poetry Slam founder Sara Mansour, this session offers an honest and empowering space to explore what it means to show up for your writing through all its seasons. Together, we’ll set poetic intentions, talk about how to weather rejection, and reframe failure as part of the process, not the end of the road. You'll also have the chance to get some words down on the page with short creative exercises.

Whether you’re just starting out or already publishing and performing, this workshop will share practical tools and reflections to help you nurture your voice, protect your creative energy, and keep writing when it feels hard.

Supported by Creative Australia.
