Family Violence Disclosure Training for Youth Sector Professionals

Our Youth3Rs training helps you to feel confident to safely respond to young people (aged 12-25 years) who are experiencing family violence.

Feel confident to:

• RECOGNISE: Understand and learn to recognise the signs of family violence and intimate partner violence in young people.

• RESPOND: Build key skills in responding to disclosures or safely ask questions if you suspect a young person may be experiencing family violence.

• REFER: Understand the key youth focused family violence services available in the community and know how to safely ‘refer’ a young person experiencing family violence to the right support.

The training is designed for professionals working in youth-focused services or settings. Many young people who experience family violence first talk to someone they know and trust rather than a professional service. Our training supports people in building the capacity to safely handle family violence disclosures and respond appropriately, ensuring the victim survivor and person receiving the disclosure are safe and supported.

Tickets: $242 per person (including GST)

Delivered online live via zoom. We require that each participant joins the session from their own individual device (e.g. computer or phone).

NOTE: This session will only go ahead if a minimum of 10 participants are registered 7 days prior to the event. A full refund will be provided to all registered participants if the session is cancelled due to low registrations.
