About our guest speaker: Tony Luo

Passionate about sustainability, urban planning and international policy, Tony is a Schwarzman Scholar for the class of 2025-2026 and most recently a Strategy Lead at Sustainability Victoria. With a Bachelor of Environments from the University of Melbourne, Tony has built a career in the public sector, specialising in strategic urban planning, economic development and policy management across major infrastructure and transport projects.

Recognised as a United Nations Local Pathways Fellow for SDG11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Tony brings an intercultural perspective to his work, combining global insights with local impact. He has also served as Co-President of the UN Association of Australia Victoria Young Professionals Network and was recently awarded the ‘Government and Public Sector’ award at the Asian Australian Leadership Awards. Tony leads with compassion, conviction and commitment to deliver social impact and empower others to shape sustainable, liveable and connected communities across Australia and worldwide.
