Devising Physical Theatre Workshop with Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre

Start the new year with Zen Zen Zo! This workshop introduces participants to the language and methodologies of devising theatre, drawing inspiration from The Viewpoints system. Through engaging, hands-on exercises, you’ll explore techniques that unlock creativity, spontaneity, and collaboration.

The workshop culminates in the creation of a short, dynamic physical theatre piece, offering a tangible experience of transforming ideas into performance. Along the way, participants will develop skills to:

• Generate original material with confidence.
• Work effectively within an ensemble.
• Experiment with movement, space, and time to craft compelling theatre.

Designed for early-career artists, aspiring creators, and performers, this workshop empowers participants with the tools to independently devise their own work and explore the boundless possibilities of physical theatre.

This workshop is being offered as part of Zen Zen Zo's residency at the Old Ambulance Station and all profits will go toward staging their next original production Blushing by Artistic Director Indiah Morris.
