Zero to Knitting in 4 Mug Rugs: Learn to Knit
Event description
Treat yourself to a midday craft break. Learn how to knit by creating a series of mug rugs (think coasters but cuter and cozier). Designed by local fiber artist Alla Hale for the beginner knitter, this workshop will cover the basics: how to cast on, the knit stitch, and how to bind off. More experienced knitters will have an opportunity to learn and practice more advanced skills.
This is a series of 4 classes on Thursdays 11/21, 12/5, 12/12, and 12/19 12:00pm-1:00pm.
$78/person + materials fee $20, paid directly to the instructor via cash, check, or Venmo. Wool yarn and knitting needles provided.
Mugs by local potters will be available for purchase if you would like to support local artists while putting your new mug rugs to use.
