Event description

You are invited to join us for the finale of our Community Climate Action Series 2022 - A Zero Waste Festive Crafternoon/End of Year Party!

Come and join us to get yourself prepared for end of year and/or Christmas festivities that don't cost the Earth!  We'll have a range of craft projects for festive decorations and gifts to get stuck into!  Amongst other things - special guest Jo Townsend (community connector and facilitator of creative expression) will show us how to repurpose tshirts into yarn which can then be crafted into decorations and gifts.  Bring along your preloved t shirts, and anything else that is singing out for you to use or be contributed to the table.  Also if you have any fabulous zero-waste festive ideas, please bring them along to share with the group.

As this is our finale for 2022, this session will also be an opportunity to celebrate together the year that was - and the many achievements of our wonderful community when it comes to the fight for our planet and her inhabitants.  Expect plenty of food, fun, laughter and to be inspired by some local good news stories.

This workshop is part of the Community Climate Action Series run by Neighbours United for Climate Action (NUCA), hosted by NECCHI and funded by Moreland City Council. Wherever possible, these sessions are free and family friendly, and they run once a month.  A big THANK YOU to Moreland City Council, in particular the Zero Carbon Moreland team, and NECCHi for their generous support.
