Concert on Friday 17th September feature acts:
>>> Rosie McDonald & Nigel Lever
>>> Victor Mishalow
>>> Chloe and Jason Roweth
Rosie McDonald & Nigel Lever are well known in the Folk and festival scene both individually and as a duo. They presented songs from English folk-rock singer Sandy Denny as well as favourite songs from their collection drawn from the rhythmic and melodic lines of Australian, Irish, Scottish, English and American folk traditions.
Victor Mishalow is an award-winning bandurist and folk singer with a long history of international music teaching and performance and a PhD in folk music. Originally from Sydney, he has performed at Sydney folk clubs and has connections to the Hornsby district. Victor joined us by Zoom from his
home in Toronto, Canada.
Chloe and Jason Roweth need little introduction within the Australian folk scene. Jason and Chloe have been researching and presenting the living tradition of Australian music for over twenty years. Drawing their inspiration from the warmth of old-style bush entertainment, the Roweths work with vibrant arrangements of new and old music, poetry, yarns, and dance tunes, carrying forward many threads of the Australian tradition.
